City Getaway

An adventure doesn’t require a passport and a $400 ticket. Despite what you may think, there are tons of places in your hometown that you probably haven’t discovered yet. Today my friends and I had a picnic at Piedmont Park, right smack down in the middle of the city.

Picnic basket, sunglasses, strawberries, and blueberries. Oh and don't forget the sparkling lemonade!

Picnic with friends.

Although you can’t tell from these photos, the park is surrounded by skyscrapers. You get a beautiful view of the Atlanta skyline, but an escape from the crazy city life.

  1. I’m all for pretending to be a traveller in your own city! There are just so many places and things you never get to see in your everyday life, but which a traveller would find amazing 🙂
